George's Greek Cafe is one of my favorite restaurant in this area. I have visited here for about 4 times, sometimes with my coworkers and sometimes with my girlfriend for casual dining.
I always have falafel and gyro, sometimes served with rice and sometimes served as sandwiches. Yes, such dishes are very simple, but they are quite tasty (and healthy I guess), I believe I can have my lunch here every workday.
I also had their stuffed salmon for once, which is very flavorful. Such meat/seafood entree are also worth trying, I guess I would get some lamb chops next time.
Their service is always great. I didn't remember their names but all the servers I ever met there were helping customers with smiles. Also we never have to wait for seating and the orders. In addition, they provide indoor and outdoor seating options, so depend on the weather you might have a chance to enjoy the food with breeze.
So again, this is like a place I can go everyday because everything there is good. It's lucky that we have this restaurant in this location, thus we don't have to go to the busy downtown for their good service and food. -

GET THE LAMB CHOPS & ASK FOR STEVEN!!!
First time coming here and it was best experience. As soon as we walk in we were greeted with most friendliest welcome, like we were family.
The food was absolutely delicious and our server Steven was phenomenal! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable , he took the time and explain the whole menu to us. We were super happy with the items we picked. We went with the saganki, "the flaming cheese," spanakopitas, for appetizer and the lamb chops for our entree. Let me tell the lamb chops are out of this world! Super delicious!!! And We can not wait to be back! -

Located at the north end of the Lakewood Mall Parking lot. Offers indoor & patio dining. Which is why we chose this location over the 2nd Street Belmont Shore location. Yes, that location is trendy, cute shops line the Blvd. BUT, meeting folks from all over OC/LA County makes this location easy. AND the organizer likes Greek food. Kind of funny that little Chinese girl is so versed in middle eastern cuisine.
Who eats Greek food??? EVERYONE! Patrons appeared to represent all nationalities.
Shared the appetizer sampler. Worked perfectly for the 4 of us. Stuffed grape leaves, falafel, eggplant, hummus dips. The falafel had good flavor & not too dry. SO YUMMY.
The table had: entree salad with chicken kabob( tasty & moist chick) ; grilled lamb chop(3) entree with sides. They have a special way with lamb. Flavorful, cooked med-rare as requested. My table mate ordered well done. Personally, I don't understand folks who order well done beef/lamb.
Last lady ordered the salmon entree. She was very happy with this.
The waitress was kind enough to let us sample a few before deciding on a bottle.
Since we all wanted red wine, we shared a bottle of Rodney Strong Cab. Actually 2 bottles!! Since the second bottle was 50% off. Enough for 2-3 glasses a piece. Our little gathering was a 5hr deal. We left happy, full & sober according to the breathalyzer. -

Okay, i ordered this time around most of the items that i had ordered the first time around and there were a few things that were off.
1. The calimari, this time around it was too oily
2. The iron steak, i ordered medium rare and i got almost medium well and the pita nread this item came with had become soggy from the juices of the steamed vegetables.
The place was not too busy to say the cook was overwhelmed... but then again maybe there is only one person working the grill (sort of speak) tonight... they gave me a free dessert to go (because i was leaving) and i forgot it at the table, lol.... after i saw it, i actually wanted to try it... Oh well.
I still ate every thing... except the dessert whoxh i forgot on table.
We will see if this is a fluke or if my first visit was a fluke on my next visit. -

The food is delicious and their customer service is outstanding. Staff was really calm during my hunger issues and I appreciate their patience.
The lamb was tender and juicy with great flavor. Love their garlic feta fries and the baklava.
Thank you George's!!
